All US athletes must be members of MAS Wrestling USA: MEN’s weight categories are -80kg(176lb); -95kg (-210lb);-110kg (-242lb), Absolute/Open +110kg (+242lb) and WOMEN’s weight categories are -70kg (-154lb), and +70kg(+154lb). Weight categories with 2 or less athletes merged with next higher weight category, all  weight categories  conducted in Round Robin format.

 AWARDS:             1st – 3rd in each weight category plus sponsor gifts CHAMPIONSHIP BELT FOR EACH CATEGORY WINNER and 100’s of $ in gift cards

All athletes MUST be a current member of the AAU. AAU membership card $30 adult $20youth which covers event insurance.

PLEASE NOTE:

  •      This event is licensed by the Amateur Athletic Union of the U.S., Inc.
  •      All participants must have a current AAU membership.
  •      AAU membership must be obtained before the competition begins, except where the event operator has a laptop available with an internet connection.
  •      BE PREPARED: Non-Athlete memberships are no longer instant and cannot be applied for at the event.
  •      Please allow up to 10 days for memberships to be processed.

AAUCARDS ;international athletes pay $30

(Sept. thru Aug.). AAU cards are available at at www.aausports.org Please specify “Strength Sport” as the sport.  All cards must be purchased on-line prior to the competition, and presented at the weigh-in.  As part of the CARD process, all athletes age 20+ will have background check.

SCHEDULE:

Thursday February 27: Arrival of athletes and officials (all day)

19:00 to 21:00:  Credentialing and Weigh-in of athletes (Convention Center A122-123)

Friday February 28: First day of Competition

10:00 to 12:00:  Preliminary Rounds morning session(A122-123)

15:00 to 16:00:  Preliminary Rounds afternoon session(A122-123)

Saturday March 1st

10:00 to 12:00  Final Rounds morning session(A122-123)

13:00 to 14:00: Final Rounds (A122-123/StageTBD)

Sunday March 3rd:  Departure

 

General Information: 

  • Athlete or his/her National Governing Federation will arrange travel and pay cost thereof including hotel accommodations;
  • Competitors insurance covered by AAU Membership/Registration
  • If VISA invitation is required, please notify dd@MASwrestlingUSA.com">odd@MASwrestlingUSA.com and we’ll provide invitation to present to US Embassy/Consulate. ($25.00 deposit required per person)
