2019 World Cup Regulations

REGULATIONS on  the Mas-Wrestling World Cup 2019

     1. Goals and objectives of the competition

Mas-Wrestling World Cup 2019 is the official sporting event of the International Mas-Wrestling Federation and is held to promote mas-wrestling in the world and solves the following tasks:

  • identifying the strongest athletes;
  • increase of sportsmanship of athletes;
  • strengthening friendly sports links between nations.
  1. Time and competition venue

Mas-Wrestling World Cup 2019 (among men and women) is held in three stages:

  • 1st Stage – Baku, Azerbaijan,

June 6 – 10 (arrival day – June 6, departure day – June 10);

  • 2nd Stage – Almalyk, Uzbekistan,

August 15 – 19 (arrival day – August 14, departure day – August 19);

  • 3rd (final) stage – Lodz, Poland,

November 14 – 18 (arrival day – November 14, departure day – November 18).

 

  1. Competition Management

General management of the preparation and conduct of the 2019 Mas-Wrestling World Cup is carried out by the International Mas-Wrestling Federation and the national mas-wrestling federations of the organizing countries.

The direct conduct of the competition is entrusted to the Organizing Committees, created by the national mas-wrestling federations of the organizing countries and judicial boards, approved by the International Mas-Wrestling Federation.

For each stage of the Mas-Wrestling World Cup, according to this document, a regulation is approved that determines the order of the competition, application, financing and so on.

  

  1. Competitors

Athletes (men and women) participate in the competition on request from national mas-wrestling federations, athletes must be at least 18 years old on the day of the competition and undergo a medical examination and have no contraindications to strength sports.

To participate in competitions, national mas-wrestling federations have the right to put up to 36 (thirty-six) athletes; All-Russian Mas-Wrestling Federation – up to 24 (twenty-four) athletes; National mas-wrestling federations which host stages of the 2019 Mas-Wrestling World Cup – up to 48 (forty-eight) athletes.

Duplication in weight categories is permitted.

 

  1. Terms of the competition

Competitions are personal and are held according to the rules of the International Mas-Wrestling Federation.

Mas-Wrestling World Cup 2019 stages are held in the following weight categories:

  • Men: 60 kg, 70 kg, 80 kg, 90 kg, 105 kg, 125 kg, over 125 kg;
  • Women: 55 kg, 65 kg, 75 kg, 85 kg, over 85 kg.

 

  1. Determination of winners

The leadership in the Mas-Wrestling World Cup 2019 is determined in each weight category according to the highest total points scored according to the results of all 3 stages.

Credit points are awarded according to the following system:

1st place – 16 points;

2nd place – 12 points;

3rd place – 10 points;

4th place – 9 points;

5th place – 8 points;

6th place – 7 points;

7th place – 6 points;

8th place – 5 points;

9th place – 4 points;

10th place – 3 points;

11th place – 2 points;

12th place and the following places – 1 point.

In case of equality of points between two or more participants, the advantage is determined by the greatest number of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. places

 

  1. Awarding

Athletes who take 1-3 places at the stages of the Mas-Wrestling World Cup 2019 among men and women in each weight category are awarded with medals, diplomas and cash prizes.

Athletes who take the first, second and third places in the overall Mas-Wrestling World Cup 2019, will be awarded medals, diplomas and cash prizes.

Athletes who take 4-6 places in the overall Mas-Wrestling World Cup 2019 are awarded with cash prizes.

Note in the awarding of athletes in the overall Mas-Wrestling World Cup 2019: an athlete who did not participate in the 3rd (final) stage of the Mas-Wrestling World Cup 2019, as well as not winning a single match in the Mas-Wrestling World Cup 2019 is not awarded.

 

  1. Financing

All costs associated with the preparation and conduct of the Mas-Wrestling World Cup 2019 in the form of shared participation are borne by the International Mas-Wrestling Federation and the national federations of the organizing countries.

The costs associated with sending participants to the Mas-Wrestling World Cup 2019 (visa costs, travel, food, accommodation and insurance) are provided by the sending national federations.
